Job Purpose: 

The key objective of the role is to provide leadership and support to the academic team and take a reflective approach to current practice with a view to introducing improvements to enhance academic achievement, learning culture and the overall student/employee experience within ETG &  Elite Academy. 
To manage course trainers and support them in the delivery of their roles and support them in the management of their teams. 
To review academic delivery of existing programs, curriculums, celebrating good practice and identifying areas for development, and devise an inclusive strategy to drive improvement where necessary.

Responsibilities:
- To lead, manage and contribute (including teaching) to the day-to-day delivery of the programs offered in the company, including the management of admission to the programs, curriculum delivery, student assessment. 
- To manage course trainers and support them in the delivery of their roles and support them in the management of their teams.
- To review academic delivery of existing programmes, celebrating good practice and identifying areas for development, and devise an inclusive strategy to drive improvement where necessary. 
- To take responsibility for the implementation, monitoring and review of the center's Strategy for Formative Assessment, in line with EU standards.
- To contribute to the development of new academic initiatives for the center as required. 
- To work with the Leadership Team to look at the impact of non- engagement, attendance and pastoral issues on academic achievement, administration issues and agree action plans, and support the implementation and review of said plans.
- To take responsibility for the curriculum budget, and report on spend to the Leadership Team monthly.
- To maintain accurate data and other documentation relating to students’/employees’ academic journey (including tracking) on the ERP system of the company.
- Planning organizational skills and an ability to take initiative within the curriculum and policy objectives

-Ensure curriculum coverage, continuity and progression in the curriculum area for all students, including the most able.
- Ensure that trainers/teachers are clear about skills, knowledge and understanding of the curriculum learning journey for each student/employee and they are clear about objectives in lessons, understand the sequence of teaching and learning and communicate this to students.
- Provide guidance on appropriate teaching and learning strategies to meet the needs of all students.
- Establish and implement clear policies and practices for assessing, recording and reporting on student achievement, and for using this information to recognize achievement and to assist students in setting targets for further improvement. 
- Set expectations and targets for staff and students in relation to standards of student achievement and the quality of teaching; establish clear targets for the student achievement and evaluate progress and achievement in the curriculum area by all students.

- A record of achievement in teaching (academic or English language). (E)

Qualifications 

- Academic or Teaching qualification at graduate or equivalent level (E)
- Relevant teaching experience, (E).
- Normally a minimum of five years’ teaching experience. 
- Experience in an academic leadership role (El). 
- Normally a minimum of 3 years’ experience.(E) 
- An understanding of the Albanian VET/Academic education and the needs and requirements of international students - (E). 
- Relevant postgraduate qualification (preferably in educational leadership/management) (Highly Desirable)
- Direct experience of further and higher education in an international context (D).
- Experience of the development of academic programmes (D). 
- An understanding and appreciation of private sector education (D)
- Fluency in English (E)
